Air Duct Cleaning Missouri City, TX

Extreme Air Duct Cleaning And Restoration Services has been in the Air Duct Cleaning Missouri City business for years

Missouri City has one of the more interesting origin stories in the Houston area. The name came from 1890s real estate investors who advertised Fort Bend County land to buyers in St. Louis, Missouri — selling the area as a “land of genial sunshine and eternal summer.” The pitch worked well enough that the town eventually took the name. What started as a railroad shipping hub became a bedroom community for Houston by the 1950s, and by the 1980s and 90s Missouri City had grown into one of the most diverse and sought-after middle-class suburbs in the metro — recognized by CNN/Money as one of the Best Places to Live in America and named a model city for middle-class African Americans by BET in 2000.

Today Missouri City is home to over 76,000 residents spread across neighborhoods like Quail Valley, Lake Olympia, Teal Run, Fondren Park, and portions of Riverstone and Sienna Plantation. Most of the city falls within Fort Bend County and is served by the Fort Bend Independent School District, with a smaller northern section in Harris County.

We’ve been serving Missouri City from our Houston dispatch for over 20 years, covering zip codes 77459, 77479, and 77489.

Why Missouri City Homes Need Regular Air Duct Cleaning

Missouri City sits in the same humid subtropical climate belt that affects all of Fort Bend County — hot summers, mild winters, and enough year-round humidity to keep HVAC systems running continuously and to make ductwork vulnerable to moisture-related problems. Oyster Creek runs through the city, and homes in lower-lying areas near the creek and surrounding drainage corridors deal with periodic flooding and elevated ground moisture that can find its way into attic spaces and duct systems over time.

The housing stock in Missouri City is diverse in age. Neighborhoods like Quail Valley and Fondren Park date back to the 1960s and 70s — homes in these areas may have ductwork that’s 40 or 50 years old and has never been professionally cleaned. At the other end, newer developments in Lake Olympia and the Riverstone corridor have modern homes where construction debris is often left inside duct systems during the building process. We see both situations regularly and know how to handle each.

The area’s diverse population also means a higher than average proportion of extended households — more people, more pets, more cooking activity, and more overall HVAC usage. All of these factors increase the rate at which dust, dander, and particulate accumulate inside ductwork.

Easy to book and they showed up on time. It was obvious that the dispatcher actually communicates with the on-site crew because they came prepared with the staff to do the cleaning we booked AND had an extra member so we could do the mold-removal we had mentioned that we were considering without having to have a 2nd visit. They were knowledgeable, polite, and very clean with their work. Explained what they were doing and showed pictures of our system so we could know what was happening. Will happily be booking cleanings every few years with them.

I enjoyed doing business with Extreme for many reasons. They were very professional, honest, on time and they cleaned up after they completed the job. I don’t feel that I was ripped off. I think their pricing was fair and appropriate for duct replacement for a single family home.

For a second year in a row, these guys, namely the technician Mr Anastocio, performed as agreed. I found their Groupon for whole house at 3ksqft. He called ahead by an hour for a heads up. I vacuumed my floors and moved light furniture and things so more carpet is exposed. He said my carpets looked good and we didn’t need spot treatments. He didn’t use additional chemicals as this was the basic steam/ deodorizer treatment. My carpets smell fresh and look great. Have exact change available for tax which Groupon does not cover, on a $99 service, I paid $8.16 directly to my tech. See you guys next year.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should Missouri City homeowners get their air ducts cleaned?
Every 3 to 5 years is the standard recommendation, and in Missouri City we suggest every 3 years. Fort Bend County's humidity keeps your AC running continuously for much of the year, which means your duct system is constantly cycling air — and constantly collecting whatever's in that air. Older neighborhoods like Quail Valley and Fondren Park have homes dating back to the 1960s and 70s where ductwork may have never been professionally cleaned. Newer developments near Lake Olympia and Riverstone often have construction debris sitting in systems that have never been touched since the house was built. Either way, a camera inspection quickly tells you what you're dealing with.
+ Does Oyster Creek flooding affect air ducts in Missouri City homes?
It can, yes. Oyster Creek runs through Missouri City and the surrounding drainage corridors have seen repeated flooding during heavy rain events — including during Hurricane Harvey. Homes in lower-lying areas near the creek and surrounding flood plains deal with elevated ground moisture that finds its way into crawl spaces and attic spaces over time. When moisture gets near ductwork through gaps, seams, or insulation damage, condensation builds up inside the ducts. Over time that creates conditions for mold growth that can cycle through your home's air for months before symptoms appear. If your Missouri City home has any flood history, a duct inspection is a smart precaution regardless of how long ago it occurred.
+ Can air duct cleaning help with allergies in Missouri City?
For many families yes — and noticeably so. Fort Bend County's year-round allergen calendar is relentless — tree pollen in late winter and spring, grass pollen through summer, ragweed and mold spores in fall. All of it gets pulled into your HVAC system and accumulates inside your ductwork. Once it's in there, your AC becomes the distribution system — circulating those allergens through every room in your home every time it runs. Cleaning your duct system removes that accumulated reservoir. Missouri City households tend to be larger than average, with more people and often pets — all of which accelerate allergen buildup inside ductwork. Many of our Missouri City customers with allergy-sensitive family members notice a clear improvement after a cleaning.
+ How much does air duct cleaning cost in Missouri City, TX?
For a typical Missouri City home, expect to pay between $300 and $500. The final price depends on the size of your home, the number of vents, and what the inspection reveals. We always inspect first and provide a firm quote before any work begins — no surprise charges on the day of service. Call (832) 699-0888 for your free estimate.
+ Do you serve Quail Valley, Lake Olympia, Sienna and all Missouri City zip codes?
Yes — we serve all of Missouri City including Quail Valley, Lake Olympia, Teal Run, Fondren Park, Riverstone, and the Sienna Plantation area, covering zip codes 77459, 77479, and 77489. We also serve nearby Fort Bend County communities including Stafford, Fresno, and Sugar Land. If you're not sure whether your address is in our service area, just call and we'll confirm quickly.
+ Do you offer dryer vent cleaning in Missouri City as well?
Yes, and we check it on every visit. Fort Bend County's humidity causes lint to compact faster inside dryer vents than in drier climates, increasing both fire risk and dryer inefficiency. A clogged dryer vent is one of the leading causes of residential fires nationally. We check your dryer vent during every service call and can clean it in the same appointment. We offer a combination discount when you book air duct and dryer vent cleaning together.
