Air Duct Cleaning Conroe, TX

Why Choose Extreme Air Duct Cleaning Services?

Conroe was once described, not too many years ago, as a sleepy backwater town north of Houston. Nobody says that anymore. The Census Bureau ranked it as the fastest-growing large city in the entire United States for a stretch in the mid-2010s, and the growth hasn’t let up since. The population has more than doubled in the past two decades — from around 36,000 in 2000 to well over 114,000 today — and Montgomery County as a whole keeps expanding outward in every direction.

All that growth means one thing from an air quality standpoint: a lot of new homes with ductwork that’s never been cleaned, a lot of older homes in established Conroe neighborhoods that are well overdue, and a lot of homeowners who haven’t thought much about what’s inside their HVAC system.

We serve Conroe and the surrounding Montgomery County area, covering zip codes 77301, 77302, 77303, 77304, 77318, 77384, and 77385.

What Conroe’s Climate and Geography Mean for Your Ducts

Conroe sits at an interesting geographic point — far enough north of Houston to feel distinctly different, but close enough that it shares the same humid subtropical climate that makes duct maintenance so important throughout this region. The summer heat is intense, the AC runs constantly from April through October, and the humidity finds its way into everything.

What makes Conroe somewhat unique is its relationship with water. Lake Conroe sits just west of the city, and the San Jacinto River runs through the area. During Hurricane Harvey in 2017, officials released nearly 79,000 cubic feet per second of water from Lake Conroe’s dam to protect its integrity — a release that significantly worsened flooding downstream and throughout the river’s floodplain. Neighborhoods along the river and in lower-lying areas of Conroe took serious water. If your home flooded during Harvey or any of the major storms before or after it, your ductwork deserves a professional inspection even if you addressed visible water damage at the time.

Montgomery County had what meteorologists classified as 500-year floods in three consecutive years — 2015, 2016, and 2017. Moisture that gets into ductwork doesn’t announce itself with a smell right away. It takes months, sometimes longer, before homeowners notice anything — and by then, mold has had time to establish itself in the duct system.

Our Air Duct Cleaning Process in Our Conroe, TX

We serve all of Conroe with the same process we use throughout Houston — camera inspection first, cleaning second, and antimicrobial treatment available if we find evidence of mold or moisture damage. We use truck-mounted vacuum equipment, not portable units, which means genuinely effective negative pressure throughout your duct system rather than just cleaning near the registers.

Conroe FAQ — Extreme Air Duct
Conroe, TX

Common Questions About
Air Duct Cleaning

How often should Conroe homeowners get their air ducts cleaned?
Every 3 to 5 years is the standard recommendation, and in Conroe we lean toward every 3 years. The area's humid subtropical climate means your AC runs hard from April through October, pulling air — and everything in it — through your duct system continuously. Newer Conroe homes built during the rapid growth of the past decade often have ductwork that was never cleaned after construction. Older homes in established neighborhoods closer to downtown Conroe may have ductwork that hasn't been touched in 15 or 20 years. Either way, an inspection tells you quickly what you're working with.
My Conroe home flooded during Harvey — should I have my ducts inspected?
Yes, absolutely — even if you properly remediated visible water damage at the time. During Harvey, officials released nearly 79,000 cubic feet per second from Lake Conroe's dam, which severely worsened flooding throughout the San Jacinto River floodplain. Water entered crawl spaces, mechanical rooms, and attic spaces in homes throughout the area. Ductwork in those spaces absorbed moisture that may never have fully dried out. Mold can develop inside ductwork quietly for months before homeowners notice symptoms — musty odors, worsening allergies, unexplained respiratory issues. If your home took any water during Harvey or the 500-year floods of 2015, 2016, or 2017, a duct inspection is strongly recommended.
Does the growth and new construction in Conroe affect air duct quality?
It does. Conroe was the fastest-growing large city in the US for a period in the mid-2010s, and that pace of construction means a lot of homes where ductwork was left open in attics and walls during the building process. Drywall dust, wood shavings, insulation fibers, and construction debris settle inside open ducts before the system is ever sealed and turned on. The first time the AC runs, it pulls that material through. We regularly clean ducts in Conroe homes that are only 2 to 4 years old and find significant buildup. A cleaning in the first couple of years of a new build is well worth it.
How much does air duct cleaning cost in Conroe, TX?
For a typical Conroe home, expect to pay between $300 and $550 for a full air duct cleaning. The final price depends on the size of your home, the number of vents, and what we find during the inspection. We always inspect first and provide a firm quote before any work begins — no surprises, no pressure. Call (832) 699-0888 for your free estimate.
Do you serve all Conroe zip codes and surrounding Montgomery County?
Yes. We serve all Conroe zip codes including 77301, 77302, 77303, 77304, 77318, 77384, and 77385, as well as surrounding Montgomery County communities including Shenandoah, Oak Ridge North, Woodloch, Magnolia, and Willis. If you're on the edge of our service area and not sure, just call — we can confirm quickly and are happy to travel for the right job.
Do you offer dryer vent cleaning in Conroe as well?
Yes, and we check it on every visit. Conroe's humid climate causes lint to compact inside dryer vents faster than in drier regions, and wooded areas around Conroe — including neighborhoods near Lake Conroe — are prone to bird nesting inside dryer vent exhaust points. A clogged dryer vent is one of the leading causes of residential house fires nationally. We recommend cleaning both your air ducts and dryer vent in the same visit and offer a combination discount when you book both services together.
Still have a question? We're happy to help.

Easy to book and they showed up on time. It was obvious that the dispatcher actually communicates with the on-site crew because they came prepared with the staff to do the cleaning we booked AND had an extra member so we could do the mold-removal we had mentioned that we were considering without having to have a 2nd visit. They were knowledgeable, polite, and very clean with their work. Explained what they were doing and showed pictures of our system so we could know what was happening. Will happily be booking cleanings every few years with them.

I enjoyed doing business with Extreme for many reasons. They were very professional, honest, on time and they cleaned up after they completed the job. I don’t feel that I was ripped off. I think their pricing was fair and appropriate for duct replacement for a single family home.

For a second year in a row, these guys, namely the technician Mr Anastocio, performed as agreed. I found their Groupon for whole house at 3ksqft. He called ahead by an hour for a heads up. I vacuumed my floors and moved light furniture and things so more carpet is exposed. He said my carpets looked good and we didn’t need spot treatments. He didn’t use additional chemicals as this was the basic steam/ deodorizer treatment. My carpets smell fresh and look great. Have exact change available for tax which Groupon does not cover, on a $99 service, I paid $8.16 directly to my tech. See you guys next year.
