Thorough Air Duct Cleaning Pasadena, TX

Why Choose Extreme Air Duct Cleaning Services?

Pasadena is the second largest city in Harris County, behind only Houston — and yet it’s one of the most underserved markets when it comes to professional air duct cleaning. With over 150,000 residents spread across neighborhoods like South Shore, Golden Acres, Baywood Oaks, Shadow Lawn, and the areas along Spencer Highway and Red Bluff Road, there are tens of thousands of homes here whose ductwork hasn’t been professionally cleaned in years, if ever.

We’ve been serving the Pasadena area out of our Houston dispatch for over two decades. The calls we get from Pasadena homeowners tend to follow a pattern — someone noticed the vents blowing a little less strongly than they used to, or a family member’s allergies got noticeably worse, or they’re getting ready to sell a home and want everything clean before listing. In every case, the story inside the ducts is the same: layers of dust, often some moisture-related buildup, and in older homes near the Ship Channel corridor, sometimes evidence of pest activity in the ductwork.

Why Pasadena Homes Need Extra Attention

Pasadena sits directly adjacent to the Houston Ship Channel — one of the most industrially active waterways in the country. The refineries, petrochemical plants, and industrial facilities that make Pasadena’s economy run also contribute to elevated levels of particulate matter in the local air. That particulate gets pulled into your home every time your HVAC system runs, and it settles in your ductwork over time. Standard filter changes help at the point of entry, but they don’t clean what’s already inside the ducts.

The January 2023 EF3 tornado that hit northwestern Pasadena caused significant structural damage across multiple neighborhoods and apartment complexes. Homes that took any impact — even minor roof or attic damage — should have their ductwork inspected. Debris and outside air often enter duct systems through damaged attic sections, and this contamination isn’t always visible from the registers.

Pasadena also has a mix of housing stock — some of the older homes near downtown and along Richey Street date back to the 1950s and 60s, with original ductwork that may never have been professionally cleaned. Newer developments near Bay Area Boulevard and closer to the Beltway are in better shape structurally, but still deal with the region’s humidity and pollen load year-round.

Our Process in Pasadena

When we arrive at a Pasadena home, the first thing we do is inspect — not quote. We run a camera through your trunk lines and check the supply and return branches before we touch anything. If we find mold, pest evidence, or collapsed flex duct, we show you on a monitor before any cleaning begins. No surprises.

Common Questions About
Air Duct Cleaning

How often should Pasadena homeowners get their air ducts cleaned?
Most HVAC manufacturers and industry groups recommend every 3 to 5 years for the average home. In Pasadena, we lean toward the shorter end of that range — every 3 years — for a few reasons. The proximity to the Houston Ship Channel means local air carries higher-than-average levels of industrial particulate. The humidity keeps your AC running longer and harder than most parts of the country. And if you have pets, smokers, or anyone with respiratory conditions in the home, annual inspections are worth considering. The best answer is to get an inspection and let the actual condition of your ducts tell you what they need.
Does living near the Houston Ship Channel affect my indoor air quality?
It can, yes. The Ship Channel corridor is one of the most industrially active in the United States, with refineries, petrochemical plants, and heavy shipping operations running continuously. Airborne particulate from those operations — sulfur compounds, fine dust, chemical vapors — doesn't stay outside. It gets pulled into your home through your HVAC system every time it cycles. Standard air filters catch some of it, but fine particles pass right through. Over time, this contributes to buildup inside your duct system that a filter change alone won't address. If you live in the southern or eastern parts of Pasadena, closer to the channel, we'd recommend inspections more frequently than average.
How much does air duct cleaning cost in Pasadena, TX?
Pricing depends on the size of your home, the number of vents, and what we find during inspection. A typical single-family home in Pasadena runs between $300 and $500 for a full air duct cleaning. Larger homes, systems with significant buildup, or those requiring antimicrobial treatment will cost more. We provide a free inspection and quote before any work begins — no surprises. Call us at (832) 699-0888 for your free estimate.
Can air duct cleaning help with allergies in Pasadena?
For many of our customers, yes — noticeably so. Pasadena's allergen calendar is year-round: cedar and oak in winter and spring, grass pollen through summer, ragweed in fall. When those allergens get into your duct system, your HVAC distributes them throughout the house every time it runs. Cleaning the duct system removes that accumulated reservoir. We regularly hear from customers — especially those with kids or elderly family members — that their allergy symptoms improved after a cleaning. It's not a cure, but it removes one significant source of ongoing exposure inside the home.
Do you service all Pasadena zip codes?
Yes. We serve all Pasadena zip codes: 77502, 77503, 77504, 77505, and 77506, as well as surrounding areas including South Houston, Deer Park, La Porte, and Pasadena's unincorporated neighborhoods in Harris County. If you're not sure whether your address falls in our service area, just call — we can confirm quickly.
What's the difference between air duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning?
They're two separate services that address different parts of your home, though we commonly do both in the same visit. Air duct cleaning addresses the HVAC system — the network of supply and return ducts that distribute conditioned air throughout your home. Dryer vent cleaning addresses the exhaust line from your dryer to the exterior of your home. The dryer vent is a fire hazard when clogged — lint buildup is one of the leading causes of residential fires nationally. In Pasadena's humid climate, dryer vents also develop compacted lint faster than in drier regions. We recommend cleaning both together and offer a combination discount when you book both services.

Easy to book and they showed up on time. It was obvious that the dispatcher actually communicates with the on-site crew because they came prepared with the staff to do the cleaning we booked AND had an extra member so we could do the mold-removal we had mentioned that we were considering without having to have a 2nd visit. They were knowledgeable, polite, and very clean with their work. Explained what they were doing and showed pictures of our system so we could know what was happening. Will happily be booking cleanings every few years with them.

I enjoyed doing business with Extreme for many reasons. They were very professional, honest, on time and they cleaned up after they completed the job. I don’t feel that I was ripped off. I think their pricing was fair and appropriate for duct replacement for a single family home.

For a second year in a row, these guys, namely the technician Mr Anastocio, performed as agreed. I found their Groupon for whole house at 3ksqft. He called ahead by an hour for a heads up. I vacuumed my floors and moved light furniture and things so more carpet is exposed. He said my carpets looked good and we didn’t need spot treatments. He didn’t use additional chemicals as this was the basic steam/ deodorizer treatment. My carpets smell fresh and look great. Have exact change available for tax which Groupon does not cover, on a $99 service, I paid $8.16 directly to my tech. See you guys next year.
