Service Terms
Effective [01/01/2026]
These Service Terms apply to services performed by Extreme Air Duct Cleaning and Restoration Services. They are separate from our website Terms and Conditions, which govern use of this website.
1. Estimates
An estimate is an approximation based on the anticipated scope of work and the conditions described to us. Actual conditions inside a duct system, dryer vent, or affected area are not fully known until work begins. If additional parts or labor are required, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. You will never be billed for unapproved work. Estimates are valid for [30] days from the date issued; pricing is subject to change after that period or if the scope, access, or conditions differ from what was described.
2. Scheduling, Access, and Cancellation
Please ensure on the day of service: clear access to the work area, attic, and all vents and returns; pets secured; someone 18 years of age or older present for the duration of the service; and available parking, water, and electrical power.
Please provide at least [24] hours notice to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations inside that window, a no-show at the scheduled arrival window, or an inability to access the property may incur a trip charge of $45.
3. Additional Work
Any work beyond the original scope requires your approval before it is performed. Approval given by phone, text message, or email is treated as written approval and is recorded on your job record.
4. Payment
Payment is due in full upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing with our office. We accept all major credit cards, personal and cashier checks, Zelle, direct deposit, money orders, and cash. Payment plans are available on request; all payment plans require a signed agreement.
Balances unpaid after [30] days may accrue a late charge of 5% per month on the outstanding amount, to the extent permitted by Texas law. Returned checks are subject to a fee of $45. Accounts remaining unpaid may be referred for collection, and you agree to be responsible for reasonable costs of collection.
5. Workmanship Warranty
Our warranty depends on the service and package purchased, as stated on your invoice:
- Air duct cleaning — warranted for 30 days, 1 year, or 2 years according to the package purchased and as stated on the invoice.
- Dryer vent cleaning — warranted for 30 days.
- Carpet, upholstery, and tile or grout cleaning — no warranty. These are cleaning services whose results depend on fiber type, dye stability, age, prior treatments, and the nature of the soiling. Some staining, wear, and discoloration is permanent and cannot be removed.
The warranty covers the workmanship of the service performed. It does not cover new soiling or accumulation after service; conditions arising from the HVAC system, humidity, pests, construction, renovation, water intrusion, or occupant activity; or any system serviced or altered by another party after our visit.
If you are not satisfied, please contact our office within 24 hours of service. We will send a technician to inspect and address the issue in a timely manner. Prompt notice allows us to stand behind our work; concerns raised long after service are difficult to attribute and may fall outside the warranty.
6. Care After Cleaning — Carpet, Upholstery, and Tile
Slip hazard. Walking from damp carpet onto tile, wood, vinyl, or any hard-surface floor is extremely slippery and presents a serious risk of falling. Remove damp footwear or socks before stepping off the carpet, and take particular care with children and elderly household members.
- Stay off cleaned areas as much as possible until they are completely dry, typically [4 to 8] hours and longer in humid conditions. Fans and air conditioning speed drying.
- Do not move furniture or other items back onto damp carpet. Metal and wood feet can transfer rust or stain, and dampness trapped beneath furniture can damage both the carpet and the item.
- Keep pets off cleaned areas until dry.
- If a spot reappears as the carpet dries, this is called wicking. It is normal and usually correctable; please call our office.
7. Existing Conditions and Limitation of Liability
Ductwork, dryer vents, carpets, upholstery, tile, and building materials vary widely in age and condition. Components that are already brittle, previously damaged, improperly installed, or carrying unstable dyes can fail or worsen during otherwise normal service. We use appropriate methods for each material; for example, fiberglass ductboard is air-washed and HEPA-vacuumed rather than brushed, as brushing damages that material.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, wear, or the failure of already-compromised components, nor for damage to items not moved or made accessible to us. Where we identify a risk before beginning work, we will bring it to your attention and discuss it with you. Except where prohibited by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service at issue.
8. Health and Air-Quality Claims
Our services improve the cleanliness of the system or surface we service. We do not diagnose, treat, or make claims regarding health conditions, air quality outcomes, or the elimination of mold, bacteria, or allergens. Any such determination should come from a qualified independent professional.
9. Photographs
We routinely photograph our work for quality control and, at times, for marketing. By authorizing our services you consent to our taking and using photographs of the work performed. We never publish your name, street address, or any personally identifying information; location is referenced only generally, such as city and ZIP code.
10. Authorization and Signatures
By signing an estimate, you authorize Extreme Air Duct Cleaning and Restoration Services to perform the work described at the prices shown; confirm that you have read and agree to these terms; confirm that you are the property owner or are otherwise authorized to approve work at that address; and confirm that you are 18 years of age or older.
By signing an invoice, you acknowledge that the work described has been completed; that you have had the opportunity to inspect the work and it is satisfactory; and that payment is due in full upon completion unless separate arrangements have been agreed in writing with our office. If any part of the work is not satisfactory, please tell us before signing so that we can address it.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
